Health & Safety Policy

The Collinson Group is committed to ensuring the health, safety and welfare of all its employees, so far as is reasonably practicable. The Group also accepts its responsibility for the health and safety of other persons who may be affected by its activities.

The Company will take all steps necessary to ensure that all its statutory duties are met including appointing competent persons in order to assist in this.

The Company views health and safety to be of equal importance to all other management responsibilities within the company.

It is the duty of management to ensure that everything that is “reasonably practical” is done to prevent personal injury.

Management duties include, but are not restricted to, the following:

  • Assess the risks that employees may be exposed to and put control measures in place.
  • Provide and maintain safe plant, machinery and safe systems of work.
  • Provide and maintain safe methods in the use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances.
  • Provide information, instruction, training and supervision as necessary to ensure the health and safety of employees.
  • Provide and maintain a safe place of work with safe means of access and egress.
  • Provide and maintain a safe working environment with adequate welfare facilities.

It is the duty of all employees to act responsibly and to do everything they can to prevent injury to themselves and fellow workers. Employees’ legal duties include, but are not restricted to, the following:

  • Taking reasonable care for their own health and safety and for the safety of other people who may be affected by their acts or omissions.
  • Co-operating with the Company on Health & Safety.
  • Not interfering with or misusing anything provided for health, safety and welfare.
