Challenger™ tensile fabric structures are ideal for industry and commerce. They're flexible in design. Fast to construct. Minimise site disturbance. And can run up to 100 metres clear span, preserving your valuable floorspace.

Constructed from a steel framed superstructure and covered with a heavy duty architectural membrane, your Challenger™ can be designed to match company colours or comply with planning regulations. Everything from the building shape to the colour of the fabric cover and the type of cladding can be customised. 

Challenger™ tensile buildings are used throughout the UK and beyond for Aviation, Warehousing, Waste and Recycling Centres, Logistics and Distribution Hubs, Fabrication Facilities and Commercial Ventures.

  • j Natural Light – The tensile fabric roof lets sunlight into the building for an internal environment that's bright and pleasant. And because Collinson tensile structures use high quality Serge Ferrari membrane, the lighting will be even and diffuse (no glare!) Alternatively, choose a coloured or opaque membrane to block sunlight and protect goods.
  • j Exciting Design – As tensile experts we have a selection of tried and tested designs. Or, we can work with you to create a custom facility. The choice is yours! Whatever you decide, your building will be CE Marked and designed in accordance with UK Building regulations.
  • j Turnkey Service – We offer a full design and build service, so all you'll need to do is turn the key. Alternatively, we can work on a subcontract installation basis.
  • j Wide and Clear Span – The size possibilities make Challenger™ ideal for large projects. Using our steel superstructure design, your Challenger™ can span up to 100 metres clear. Plus there are no limits on length or height.

Your own dedicated sales manager will arrange a visit to view the site and discuss your requirements, ideas and explain about our range of buildings and their key features.

When we feel confident we fully understand your requirements our architectural design team will put together an initial proposal for your approval. This will include an outline specification, giving an overview of your specific build and how much it will cost.

Step 4 - Planning consent & detailed design

Once you are happy with our proposal we can prepare the detailed planning application or work with your own team to submit the necessary plans. Once approved our team will work with you to take the scheme through to the final detailed design and contract stage.

Our experienced project managers set a start and completion date for the handover of the completed project. They are your dedicated point of contact throughout the process, keeping you up to date with progress.
