description

  • York St John University is my second scheme working Collinson on a tensile sports facility and again they proved to be an excellent sub-contractor completing the works to a high standard, on time and within budget. I find them to be pro-active, friendly and approachable and wouldn’t hesitate in using them again

York St John - Mark Harvey, Senior Quantity Surveyor, Triton Construction Ltd
  • Surf Snowdonia was a fast-paced, commercially critical project and we needed to select a delivery partner for our tensile building who could not only work autonomously but who we were confident could produce the right quality product in a timescale fit our tight programme. Collinson achieved this and helped deliver the world’s first stadium surfing venue.

    Gavin Garner, Director, WCP Associates
  • The team demonstrated a strong passion for quality with good systems in place for accepting various elements of work with any non-conformities being swiftly rectified.

The site teams themselves were all hard working and dedicated team players that were a pleasure to work with and I look forward to working with Collinson again in the future.

Steve Lee, - Project Manager, Kier Group
  • Throughout the contract Collinson were diligent and professional in their approach to their works within a live school environment.  The site team respected  the school environment that they were in, which was evident by the consistent standard of PPE worn by all operatives and maintenance of plant and equipment.

The very narrow site access was shared with the school but with good planning and site controls all deliveries went like clockwork. All risk assessments, method statements, safe systems of works and fit for work certification were produced on time.

Steve Lee, - Project Manager, Kier Group
  • "We are more than happy with our fantastic new facility! It brings the students a wealth of opportunities to try new sports which is a great benefit to the College."

Marie Black, Business Manage, St Francis Xavier's College, Liverpool
  • "We now have a top-class building that delivers a superb facility for cricket in our area. It is truly a centre of excellence and we have achieved something all cricket clubs aspire to"

Alan Budge, Vice Chairman Eversley Indoor Cricket Facility, Eversley, Hampshire
  • “An outstanding facility”

Devon Malcolm - former England cricketer
  • "Collinson minimised any disruption to the program and did an outstanding job with planning the sequencing of work and handling the logistics. Health and Safety was firmly integrated into their work practice and always evident on site. I would recommend their participation in any construction process”

Christopher Wynne - Christopher Wynne, Wynne Construction, Principle Contractor for Parc Eirias, Cardiff
  • “The new Rugby Academy at Parc Eirias was a very challenging project taking place within extremely tight timescales. Collinson consistently demonstrated a professional and collaborative way of working throughout the process from tender to completion. They established good communication channels between all the parties involved"

Christopher Wynne - Wynne Construction, Principal Contractor for Parc Eirias, Cardiff
  • "The completed MugaCova is marvellous! It is in constant use and a great asset to the school. Having a covered games area gives the sports staff the extra flexibility they needed when doing PE and games during bad weather. The build quality is excellent and all who use it are impressed - the overall appearance of the Mugacova only serves to enhance our site and facilities”

Mick Bold - Facilities Manager, The Charter School, London
  • “I can’t speak highly enough of Collinson, they were spectacular contractors.  As we are going through a BSF build we were forever grateful Collinson were so good.  Monthly site meetings ensured everything ran smoothly and didn’t create additional headaches.  The school is absolutely over the moon with the facility, the student’s jaws dropped in amazement when they walked in”

Ian Johnson - Business Manager, Soar Valley College, Leicester
  • “It’s a very impressive structure – bright, airy and the ambience is excellent”

Gerry Kelly - General Manager, Planet Soccer, Drogheda Leisure Park, Ireland
  • “Membership at all levels has increased greatly since we opened, the wow factor is unbelievable”

Mandy Stonier - Tennis Development Officer, Writhlington Tennis Centre, Avon
  • "Collinson have been a pleasure to work with. Professional from start to finish, with excellent communication and collaboration with the University and Kent Sport."

Ben Trott, Assistant Director - Operations, Kent Sport, University of Kent
  • ‘We were familiar with the tensile building construction method and knew it offered excellent value for money. We also placed great value on Collinson’s experience in this sector, they guided us through the many decisions necessary and we were able to trust their advice in unfamiliar territory, such as acoustics and air handling throughout the building, their experience has been pivotal to the build’s success’.

Andrew Brown, Bursar, St Neot's Preparatory School
